PvP

But we do a lot of PvP.

Although Delusions is organized as a PvE Operations guild, we often choose to PvP, and when we do, we approach it like we do operations:  high competence yields victory.

So … good at PvP … but not a PvP guild?

Right.  As a PvE guild, we invest time and effort to organize operations raid teams: scheduling activities, filling open spots, keeping things balanced and functional, working around real-life events, etc.

PvP guilds invest time and effort that way to organize their PvP.  We don’t.  We just queue up ad hoc and see what happens.

Toxicity and Coaching

The PvP scene can be brutal.  The action is faster than PvE, less predictable, and allows far less margin for error.  Trolls and rage-whiners are unavoidable.  But facing that toxicity with friends and allies often elevates the experience to enjoyable levels.

Some PvE goals in SWTOR are gated behind PvP, including easy conquest points, and some well-loved companions.  Importantly, winning in PvP is just as satisfying as losing is frustrating.

Not everyone has the ability to tolerate PvP.  A significant number of players, however, do have the ability, and just need a partner or some back up to unlock that potential.  If the thought of solo PvPing is abhorrent, but you’d be willing to wade into it with a little help, we have the right atmosphere for you.

Our PvPers are friendly, patient, kind, and generous with knowledge and experience.[/vc_column_boxed_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/5″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_boxed_text el_text_title=”Ranked Warzones? Solo or Group?”]Nah man. Our PvPers are objectives players, not DPS-toppers or kill-mongers (all due respect to MBJ). In the current meta, where granked hardly pops and the premades roll in the un-ranked warzone queue, we just farm objectives around them while they farm kills, and everyone is pretty happy. We win matches, they win DPS, we both shake our heads at each other. And when we end up as 1 or 2 players in an arena against the 4 of them, we just take our loss like grown-ups and get on with life.[/vc_column_boxed_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_boxed_text el_text_title=”Galactic Starfighter (GSF)”]Delusions does very little GSF.  If that’s your bag, this guild might not be for you.  There are a handful of GSF-specialist guilds that are ready and willing to suit your needs.

On the other hand, if you’re interested in forging a new GSF team from the ground up, and are looking for an established guild to provide a framework and infrastructure, inquire with guild leadership in-game, or post on our public forum.[/vc_column_boxed_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
