A Rose By Any Other Name
Until launch, we will refer to each other by whatever names we’ve gone by in previous games, unless you already have a name picked out for your main in TOR. Many of us have gamer personas over a decade old, identities which go with us from one game to the next, and which might not make sense in a Star Wars themed game. There will be orcish Griknaks, tauren Beefcakes, dwarven Rockbeards, elven Whisperwinds, counterstrike/Halo/shooter Snip3rs, and so on. While some people will still choose to name their Jedi Knight “Beefcakes,” or their Imperial Agent “Snipperr,” most of us will probably chose all new names for our TOR characters. That’s fine. Forum names can all be updated post-launch as needed. Most forum administrators disallow, or at least frown on, people changing their forum usernames, but in this case, it will be allowed for the first month or so of the game, while people are deciding what their main will be.

Finally, there is a Meet the Guild forum where members may post their own bios. We encourage all members to do this, as it enables us to get to know each other and form bonds much more quickly.
